Population control is “limiting the size of human societies and monitoring/controlling the movement of individuals within that society.” (Population Control) Simply, population control makes sure to maintain and regulate an average sized population, reducing any adverse effects it may have on its environment. Overpopulation of humans is generating a quantifier of problems, such as global warming and the over-consumption of natural resources, mainly freshwater. Population control is a profoundly effective method to control the effects on the environment caused by human overpopulation.

Increased global warming and climate change are also examples of harmful effects of human overpopulation. "Human activities are causing climate change." (Overpopulation Effects) The gas from the car emits carbon dioxide into the air, deforestation decreases the amount of fresh oxygen we receive, allowing more carbon dioxide to linger in the air and overall the high levels of methane emissions from natural gas distributions on landfills during agriculture. (How Human) The more humans there are on Earth, the more harmful gasses that are being released into the air, causing heat to trapped in the atmosphere thus creating climate change and global warming. If people were more educated about the process and the experience of having a child, then it'll prevent overpopulation by justifying them to wait until they're ready. Women in developing countries typically get pregnant and go into motherhood without fully grasping the concept behind the economic perspective of being a parent. If more of them were educated and taught the reality behind being a parent, it'll be less likely for them to get pregnant at such a young age.

Others may argue that the concept of population control is unethical, however, that claim in invalid because population control doesn't say that you cannot have any children or that you shouldn't. It simply educates you and allows you to have sex with the proper precautions when and if you want too. When you know about every aspect of parenting and childbirth, you typically don't want to become a parent at such a young age. And if there are fewer people giving birth at a young age, there'll be one less source providing new babies into the world. Which'll allow there to more available water for the fewer amounts of citizens remaining and there'll be fewer harmful gasses being emitted into the atmosphere, preventing global warming and climate change.

Overpopulation of humans is resulting in the loss of fresh water.
