CHANGES

Today's way of business and life involves constant and rapid change. Change is the reality that most of society has adapted to because the change is forced upon society. Change is occurring within, homes, businesses, churches, schools, hospitals, and most any other industry one could think of.

Businesses of all sorts are trying to figure out ways to cope with change and technology which is the cause for the majority of the constant changes. In order to remain competitive, businesses are forced to accept change as fast as it comes. Businesses are meeting and planning on a regular basis to figure out ways to become faster and more efficient with lesser cost included.

Technology has forced businesses to become more flexible which is not all bad because there are many computer software programs available for a various amount of needs desired by businesses.

Success of any business will be determined by its flexibility and plans of adapting to rapid change. Businesses and its employees must have the knowledge of how to accept, expect, and adapt to change. This will allow businesses to implement change much more smoothly. This will also allow businesses to keep up with demands and look forward to opportunities and growth of the business.

Many changes occur within businesses because of competition, globalization, product and/or service changes, technology changes, operations, business and management, and more.

Stephen Covey says, "Many people view organizations with a mechanical paradigm or mindset. The organization is like a machine: If something is broken, it needs to be fixed. If you can find the problem, get the right part, stick it in and turn it on, it will work." (Win-Win Leadership)

Many changes also occur when businesses are failing because the businesses may get customer complaints, returns, damaged products or bad service, etc. These problems can also help improve a business if the business can turn it around quickly enough.

Finally, all successful organizations will face major changes before prospering. Situations such as the few mentioned above is what helps make a business better.
