Gear Accountability

There are many important reasons to be checking your gear constantly to keep proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability as an United States Marine Infantryman in the United States Marine Corps. It is the United States Marine Infantryman responsibility to always have proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability at all times. Whenever you have a pause through your patrols, raids, or movements the United States Marine Infantryman always want to take a quick check to make sure that you have your Marine Corps issued gear as well as everything else that you or your team of United States Marines Infantryman came with. It is your job to take responsibility and check yourself as well as your other United States Marines Infantryman. Proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability can range from the most important pieces of Marine Corps issued gear such as your rifle all the way down to your tourniquet.

You always want to have serialized Marine Corps issued gear such as your night vision goggles dummy corded to your body. If your Marine Corps issued gear that can be dummy corded is dummy corded to you, will have a lot less chance to loose any of your gear or anything else you are carrying with you. In case that a United States Marine Infantryman is moving or running, even if your Marine Corps issued gear comes absent from the pouch or pocket you are carrying them in they will not come completely off your body. Any serialized Marine Corps issued gear that the United States Marine Infantryman is carrying on that United States Marine’s body needs to always be dummy corded to that United States Marine Infantryman or even attached the United States Marine Infantryman’s flak jacket. That also includes dummy cording the issued Marine Corps issued gear that is attached to that United States Marines Infantryman’s rifle directly to the United States Marines Infantryman’s rifle such as your ACOG RCO, AN/PEQ 15, and your surefire.

If the United States Marine Infantryman does not have proper gear accountability then that United States Marine Infantryman could become ineffective in combat on the battlefield. If a United States Marine Infantryman looses a piece of serialized gear such as the United States Marines Infantryman’s rifle, that United States Marine Infantryman will not be able to protect himself or some of the other United States Marines Infantryman such as laying rounds down range at the enemy. No rifle equals no rounds being shot. In the case that a United States Marine looses his rifle that could also place his other United States Marine’s Infantryman life in danger. It is hard to gain fire superiority on the battlefield providing there is a United States Marine Infantryman that does not have his rifle due to that United States Marine Infantryman not having proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability over himself. If that United States Marine Infantryman does not have proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability over himself, then he probably didn’t check the United States Marines Infantryman around him either.

The United States Marine Infantryman needs to have liability and proper gear accountability for his Marine Corps issued gear. If a problem happens repeatedly with that United States Marine Infantryman not having proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability then that United States Marine Infantryman needs to remediate. The United States Marine Infantryman that doesn’t have proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability is more likely not to be able to follow simpler orders assigned to him in combat on the battlefield and out of combat also. When United States Marines Infantryman fail to have constant proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability they will lose other traits.

The enemies can and will take advantage of a United States Marine Infantryman not having proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability. The enemies in Iraq have used United States Marines Infantryman Marine Corps issued gear against them in combat. The enemies in Iraq will continue doing this until there is one hundred percent proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability from all United States Marines Infantryman. There was an enemy sniper in Iraq that had a United States Marines Infantryman M16 rifle mounted with that United States Marines Infantryman ACOG RCO. The enemy sniper was using one that weapon to shoot our United States Marines Infantryman as well as other friendly troops with it. Situations like this mishap can be prevented if United States Marines keep constant proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability. The enemies in Iraq have used United States Marines Infantryman other gear also against United States Marines Infantryman and friendly troops, such as our night vision goggles. Whatever the enemy can get there hands on of our gear they will use it against us United States Marine Infantryman and friendly’s in combat on the battlefield.

If a United States Marine Infantryman was to lose his tourniquet in combat then there is a chance that that United States Marines Infantryman life might not be saved if he is injured and needs a tourniquet. Even if another United States Marine Infantryman was to use his tourniquet then that might delay the time of applying it because that other United States Marine Infantryman had to pull his tourniquet out and apply it on the injured United States Marine Infantryman. Then the uninjured United States Marine Infantryman might be left without his tourniquet if he is injured. If a United States Marine Infantryman doesn’t keep proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability, it can put his life as well as his other United States Marines Infantryman lives in danger.

Even if your not in combat and back in the rear at base, the United States Marine Infantryman should always be keeping proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability over all his Marine Corps issued gear and items that United States Marine Infantryman brought with himself. United States Marines Infantryman need to check that they have there Marine Corps issued military identification card on them at all times even when the United States Marine Infantryman is out in town on liberty. It is the smallest things that will matter and will keep the United States Marine Infantryman alive in combat as well as the other United States Marines Infantryman with himself.

There are many situations that might happen due to United States Marines Infantryman not having proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability. United States Marines Infantryman will also take advantage of another United States Marine Infantryman not having proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability. If the chance arises, a United States Marine Infantryman
