The five steps of science.

When completing any question in science it is vital to go for the question with the correct approach. The five steps of science ensure that you will maximise your marks and understanding of the question.

The first step is to write down what you are given. You obtain this information by reading the question. When you are writing down what is given, it is important that you make sure that it is in the correct standard unit.

The second step is to write down what you are asked to solve. Making sure that you can identify what they want you to calculate is important.

The third step is to find a formula that fits the information that you are given. In some cases you will need to use more than one formula but you will see this once you have been practising.

The fourth step is to substitute the values into the formula and solve for what you are solving. It is very important that you can use the math to manipulate equations if need be.

The final step is to write the correct unit! This step is very important and marks will be lost if the unit is incorrect o not there even though the numerical value is correct.

If you follow the steps, your science calculations will be much easier to understand and to approach!
