In order to search the answer for the question of when and why Nazi Jewish policy altered into the Final Solution and eventually Holocaust, the role of Operation Barbarossa cannot be overlooked. The bloody war of German army against Soviet Union also called Operation Barbarossa claimed approximately 20 million Soviet losses. During the operation, the German army enjoyed a relative period of triumph followed by sudden unexpected outcomes like shortage of man power and extreme weather conditions that culminated Nazi party into radical change of plans. Most noticeable was the search for final solution of the Jewish question after the constant failures of resettlement policies. The frustrations erupted due to ineffective planning and flopped transitions measures lead to the mass massacre of many individuals but predominantly Jews. The origin of ghettos served the purpose of confining Jews temporarily until their final destination was announced but by all means it sketched the pictures of an experimental laboratory where humans were tested on the basis of "natural selection." Primo Levi, a survival from one of these camps, intellectually identifies his struggle for life in the camp with that of an animal. Generally speaking, Othello by William Shakespeare would have been an ordinary love story, however, due to the intervention of one character the whole direction of this drama changed. Unlike fairy tales where a prince saves the princess from dragon, marries her, and they live happily ever after, a villain has the same powers of steering the happy ending to catastrophe and instead of saving the princess, getting her murdered; therefore, making a love story a tragic one. The character of Iago fits this explanation perfectly. The root of all his diabolic actions erupted from a mere instance of not being promoted to a rank that he had anticipated. This changed outcome of circumstances brought the devil of jealousy out of him. It's essential to discern how the role of jealousy is much more pronounced during the course of this drama than any other character or theme. After all, it was jealousy and lies that made Iago a historical villain and Othello a tragic hero.
