There are billions and billions of cars on the road everyday. Every car you see is either powered by hybrid, diesel, or electric. You may be thinking that it's all the same thing but it really isn't. Depending on what type of car you chose to drive, it takes a great toll on the environment.

Hybrid cars are a new generation of automobiles that strive for the highest economic standards. The point of hybrid cars is not to take away all the luxuries of gas cars like horsepower and torque but to make for a more environmentally friendly car. In these early stages of development there is a noticeably lesser amount of power than a gas car. Future projects are showing that hybrid cars in the future will have just as much power as a gas car today. For now hybrid cars have the same price and features as a gas car but it will cost you much less in the long run because of their high gas mileage. Hybrid cars will make a difference because of its almost zero emissions and the money it saves on gas. Just think of being able to drive twice as far on a tank of gas and saving money while doing it. A hybrid car is a car with both a gas powered engine and an electric motor. The electric motor is powered by batteries, which are recharged while driving the same way as with a normal car battery. The gas engine is the same as one that would be found in a normal car. These two power sources can be used simultaneously or by them depending on what the car is doing.

One of the biggest advantages of choosing a diesel car or truck is fuel economy. A diesel's extra twenty to thirty percent of fuel efficiency makes a difference. You'll use less fuel as you drive and fill up your tank less often. Fewer trips to the pump means more money stays in your wallet. Just ask any diesel driver. First and foremost, it's the fuel economy. On the New Beetle it's almost fifty miles per gallon. You can drive from Chicago to New York without stopping for fuel. They've got tremendous driving range. The fuel savings on a diesel is so impressive that you'll make up the extra cost of the engine in just a few years.

Electric cars are something that shows up in the news all the time. There are several reasons for the continuing interest in these vehicles. Electric cars create less pollution than gasoline powered cars, so they are an environmentally friendly alternative to gasoline-powered vehicles especially in cities. An electric car is a car
