I quietly sat down at the dinning room table next to him. He was so focused on writing on the white piece of paper to notice my presence. As he scribbled words on the white piece of paper it was then that I got to thinking what kind of person my boyfriend, Alex, really was. When we met he had already own three businesses, a house, and an expensive BMW. That was not what got me interested in him though. I was intrigued by the way he carried himself. He walked into the restaurant holding himself strong and looking astounding. We got talking and had a well-educated and mature conversation on death. A recent family friend of mine had just died in a car accident leaving her husband and five year old and 4 month old daughters. It was a situation that hit me hard and was the only thing on my mind at the time. I had never been able to talk to any man the way Alex and I had.

While I sat watching him write on the paper all these thoughts of dedication, commitment, and being headstrong are what came to mind. Alex is compassionate to an extent I have never seen in someone. I believe he does not have a mean bone in his body. He is truthful and sincere, always worrying about others before himself. Alex is also extremely dedicated to things he is passionate for. He puts so much time and effort into everything he does. Whether it is his business or with our relationship I always can count of him for 100% if not more.

As he sat intently writing on the piece of paper I saw it turn into a resume. At that time I was also shown again how devoted he was. Alex wants to start a new life with me in Florida, since that is where I will be attending school in July of 2007. He also wants a career change from owning his own business to working at a BMW dealership. As he wrote the resume more I realized how much this meant to him. He wanted to make sure every part of his career history and wording was just perfect. It came to me then that he was a well-rounded and amazing individual.

I am still growing up and learning but being with Alex pushes me to do better. When I was in high school I did just the minimum to get by. Since I have met Alex though I am doing my very best at everything. Whether it is at school or at my job I am always trying to put in 100%. By doing so I am learning so much about myself and how the little extra effort you put in gives you back so much more. I only hope that one day I will be as passionate about
