Religion has separated millions of human beings because of numerous people attempting to prove that their belief is superior, while others is false. For those reasons, faith is also the basis of many wars, suicide bombings, and other crimes. The world without religion wouldn’t be the same it would be like a whole new world, but there would still be immorality in the world.
If religion causes people to end others’ lives, the absence of religion would only lead to worse happenings. Religion provides us with ideas of heaven and hell, or rewards and punishments that we will receive depending on our behavior in the short time we have to walk upon earth. If we can blame an endless amount of crimes and wrongdoings on faith, not having consequences in the afterlife would make life on earth even more horrible. No one would be fearful of spending eternity in hell, so everyone could do whatever he or she pleases to do. Those would result in chaos. Religion hands us a guideline of what is right and what is wrong, and what is the proper way of living. It provides a motivation to do things and purpose for us to fulfill, and this aids us in making more morally correct decisions.
Two religions that are public and help people are christianity and islam. Christianity is monotheistic, abrahamic religion which stated from judaism. It has a major influence on the world today with a following of 2.2 billion people. Christianity is based of the teachings and life of jesus christ, and also the teaching of the bible. The majority of christians believe that jesus christ in christianity is considered to be the Messiah. But in islam he is believed to be just a prophet. Christianity teaches that jesus christ was sent to earth to die for our sins. Sin was first created when adam and eve “perfect humans” ate from the forbidden tree. Ever since then, they were cast out of the garden of eden, humans became mortal, have to physically work harder to receive nourishment from the earth, all of women would have to bear pain during childbirth.but with the sacrifice of jesus christ “another perfect human” the penalty for what they did was paid. So that people who believe in him will have another chance for everlasting life.
Life would become a puzzling mystery. Each person would continually wonder how it all began, and we would be unsure of where everything originated. People would be curious about what will occur following
