The word style can have many definitions that come from different perspective from different people. There are different types of styles that people think of when they hear the word style. For example there is music style, clothing style, writing style, and font style. To me the word style comes into play with music styles. Music style is identified as how you write the song, how is the music in the back ground, or if your lyrics make sense and if they have meaning behind it.

These things don’t only identify the style of music but they also identify the writer and the director. Even though there are different styles in music like pop, classical, rock, jazz and R&B, these are just a few examples of different styles or "genre" of music that you might hear. Music style can help give music sense of identity. It will help us know that when we are listening to music, we know what kind of music we're listening to. Different types of music styles also can have different intentions. Each music style has a different purpose and a different meaning behind it. Creating your own style can be hard to do but most of it is inspired by the outside world. When you are trying to create your own music style, you are using your influences to create something new and unique to yourself

How do you develop your own music style? In order to develop your own music style it is important to listen to different music with different genres so it would be easy to brainstorm and come up with something different. The key here is to follow your influences, go with what you like and what you feel is right to your ears. You have to begin somewhere don’t expect it to be perfect from your first time you will fail and fail but you’re only going to get better. By being consistent in your own voice, you develop your own original sound. Therefore, if you trust yourself and your influences and it will come to you.

Don’t be repetitive don’t copy others tones or lyrics because people won’t be interested in it because they already heard it before. It is completely fine to copy other players at first but in due course you’ll have to develop your own. Study the music that inspires you and moves you will eventually begin to make your own music style.
