The AP English Language and Composition Crash Course is an excellent test prep manual for students who are taking this course. This book focuses on a wide range of topics but most importantly puts a lot of infancies on time management. It is recommended by many AP teachers across the United States. One of the good characteristics about this book is that it only provides information and practice on what is actually going to be on the test so students won't waste anytime or study unnecessary topics. This book also includes every type of question available on the test and provides free practice online that will allow students to discover his or her weaknesses and strengths. This book consists of five parts and 24 chapters. Part I is the introduction of the entire book and gives advice on how to be successful in the AP English Language and Composition Exam. Part two focuses more on writing styles, grammar, and rhetoric. Part three discusses and encourages students to enhance their vocabulary and really engage in reading. Part four really focuses on improving students writing skills, citing information effectively and creating good structured essays. Part five practices mastering multiple choice questions and goes over general test-taking strategies. It also talks about the various types of multiple choice questions.

It has been proven that the techniques used in this book produce better results and higher scores. Not only does this book provide strategies but two full practice tests. In result of this students will be able to get a much better feel of the AP English & Composition Exam. It also gives pointers for a winning essay so that students can get the best scores possible. This book is more up to date than the first one. Therefore, this book provides more updated strategies and techniques that reflect the AP test scoring change. In the beginning of the book, it gives students brief description of the AP exam so that you will be able to get a feel of how the test is set up before practicing various strategies throughout the book. This book also has five parts. Like the first book, it also covers how to better attack multiple choice questions in the exam (can find it in Part two).
