Greetings, I would like to introduce myself as a potential candidate for your graduate program beginning in the spring semester of 2012. My name is Tiffany Moore
I am currently a Service Consultant for CenterPoint Energy at the Bellaire Service Center. I plan on pursuing a MBA degree to better utilize my knowledge, talents, skills and interests in the career path of project management. I believe that the University of Houston's reputation for advanced degrees and higher learning is one of excellence that will prepare me to reach, fulfill and exceed my goals and expectations for my future career.
My undergraduate studies were done at Prairie View University where I earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. As a student, I participated in various on-campus engineering groups which helped tutor incoming freshmen as well as assisting engineer professors with onsite and offsite projects. As a student I also worked as an intern for StorageTek in Louisville, Colorado where I spent the entire summer learning from and working with some of the best design engineers in the Mid West region. After graduation, I pursued a teaching career at Jones High School where I taught mathematics and collaborated with other community based organizations to form a computer literacy class to better serve my students, parents and the community. With a MBA from the University of Houston, I can further expand my career opportunities and put into action the vision of impacting the engineering field as well as giving back to my community.
With the engineering field vastly growing, students are competing harder than ever to obtain and solidify their positions in the corporate world. My passion for knowledge, creativeness and dedication will not allow me to be content as an average employee. With a MBA and my strong work ethic, I can reach the pinnacle of the engineering field in the corporate offices as well as outside of them. This degree as well as my hard work and experience will give me the edge that I need to succeed with my career. As apart of management I can implement new and creative ideas, manifest thoughts and dreams into reality and also train and mentor the next generation of engineers.
After thorough research I have found that the University of Houston's graduate
program, curriculum, and its professors best serve my needs in my pursuit of future
