ABSTRACT

Bomb blasting is a common incident in Bangladesh now a day. The bomb blasts in Bangladesh has caused serious concern within the Bangladesh & in the international community. This activity is not new in our country. After the liberation period there occurred so many terror activities that became a threat for us. Recently the percentage is getting higher than the previous period. Most of the time it was clear that there were the involvement of Islamic militant group. But government yet not success to identify the terror group to stop this violence.

The major objectives of the report are to discuss the background/source or reasons of bombardment, to discuss the impact of the bombardment & to identify the precaution or initiative taken by the government and the criticism on these. For this report I have gone through the journals, newspapers, case study and also gathered news from the websites to discuss the topics critically thus secondary source are used to accomplish the report.

At the beginning of the report I painted the historical background of the bombardment in Bangladesh which covers all the incidents after the liberation to till 2005. The effect of bomb blast are also took place in this report. I have also point out the impact of the bombardment in the social, economical and political aspects and discussed briefly. The governments are highly concern to prevent these terrorist activities by taking some initiative which is also cover in the report. The main opposition party's criticism on the government strategy is also including here. Finally by evaluating the government strategy and considering social position, economical condition, political unrest I have given my recommendation in the end of this report by which we can overcome the situation and get back the image of our Country.

INTRODUCTION

OBJECTIVES OF THE REPORT

The report concerning the recent bombardment in Bangladesh is conducted with a view to achieve a number of objectives. These include both primary and secondary objectives. The primary or broader objective of the study is "To discuss the recent bombardment in Bangladesh". The secondary objectives are:

* To discuss the background/source or reasons of bombardment

* To discuss the impact of the bombardment

* To identify the precaution or initiative taken by the government and the criticism on this

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Terror activity is not new in our country. After the liberation period it spread through out the country rapidly. Along this the Islamic militant group also spreading their network through out the country. From 1971 to 2005 there occurred so many terror activities that became a threat for us. Recently the percentage of this type of ante law activities became more. Bomb blast is one of them. Bangladesh faced many incident of bomb blast during the last 15 years. The bomb blast in Udichi Program in Jessore, the bomb blast in Khulna at Ahmadia Mosque, in the gathering of CPB, at Ramna Batamul, at a church in Gopalgonj, at AL office in Narayanganj, at Hazrat Shahjalal Shrine, at AL meeting killed many people and injured a large. The recent Bomb Blast through all over the countryraise a question infront of us what would be the future of this nation? Are we going to be a fundamentalist nation or a nation that has no law and order?
