On that stormy Texas night with my life thrown in trash bags I called the only person I could think of.  My friend had decided that he didn’t want me living with him anymore. In a split second I was told to get my things together and get out. I tried to plead with him to let me stay till morning then I would be out.

In two seconds flat my life was turned upside down. I frantically started to throw my things in to trash bags. Finally, I had collected most of my belongings and had taken them outside while I searched through my phone to find someone who could come get me at least for the night.

I called my mother to let her know what the situation was, and she offered to help. Being as stubborn as I was I declined her offer. I told her I would figure it out like I always do, not knowing I would end up pretty much homeless. I hung up the phone with her and called the one person I knew would come get me.

At two am the only person that I could think of showed up to come help me. Little did he know he was friends with the guy that was kicking me out but instead of listening to all the shit that was coming out of his mouth he just started grabbing my things and putting them in his truck. As he was loading my stuff in to his truck in the rain he had mentioned to me that it would only be for the night then I would have to find somewhere else to go. I quickly started to panic again.

I didn’t understand what I had done to deserve everything that was happening. My life was upside down and I was lost. I had started to go through my phone again to see if there was anyone else I could call, but there was no one. I was devastated with no idea of what to do.

My friend was living with his parents and I wasn’t allowed to stay inside with him so being the awesome person he was he stayed the night in his truck with me. The first night wasn’t so bad. Looking up at the midnight blue colored sky covered in diamond like stars made that first night somewhat easy. The next day I went to work with him and he decided to let me stay with him a little longer that eased my mind a little bit. Although we had managed to have a monster and breakfast burrito for all three meals.

A few days passed and I started to get worried that I wasn’t going to be able to find somewhere to go. Sleeping in the bed of the truck started to get old and uncomfortable. I started to feel really bad because every night he had been right there by my side. By the time I finally found somewhere to go so we could each have a roof over our head it had been 7 days of being practically homeless.   I couldn’t of asked for a better friend than him. He made sure that I had the necessities of everyday life.
