  2. Consider selecting an area that will provide the greatest opportunity for growth or an area that can make the biggest impact on your success.

Complete the Life Action Plan.

Use the readings provided for Topics 1–7 to assist you in completing this assignment.

My life role – Identify your life plan role (this may be you as a student or professional).

My life role is to succeed academically and make a career as a teacher. I am hoping for this because I love teaching and I think that it will provide many benefits that could be helpful to my family and my life. I have only ever wanted a beautiful house and stable future.

My long-term goals in this role – Identify one outcome you plan to achieve within the next 2 to 10 years in this role.

1. Finish online bachelors program

2. Take online or traditional masters program

3. Graduate with a 3.8 or higher, I have always wanted a 4.0

4. Get hired at Pullman High School, my place that I loved for 4 years and I want to stay at

5. Take a history course, to be able to pursue the area that I really want to study

My short term goals in this role – These are outcomes you plan to achieve in 1 day, 1 week, and 1 month. Each one should bring you closer to achieving your long term goals.

1. Set up a better routine for completing classwork as in organizing work school

2. Research what it takes to get hired at Pullman High School, my dream school

3. Get a study area in my home set up so I can better focus on school

4. Make a schedule daily to make time each day

5. Make sure my completely is ready for all its needed for

1. Completing School, this can be stressful because of my ever changing life and schedule

3. First year anxiety, this can be a challenge because of trying to do your own thing when teaching

Describe skills or knowledge required to reach the goal.

1. Bachelors degree, from GCU

2. Teaching requirements from Washington State

3. How to make lesson plans, I want to try to keep things interesting in my class

4. Teaching License, also from Washington State

5. In-class hours met, this would be a GCU requirement

Identify groups, individuals, companies, and organizations that can help you reach this goal.

1. Grand Canyon University, finishing my degree

2. Washington State for teaching certificate, to be able to get a job of course

Plan of action to reach this goal (What specific steps will you take to accomplish this – these should be chronological steps (e.g., A, B, C, etc)

1. Figure out routine, make a good time for school

2. Complete TA hour, completely finish school

3. Graduate GCU, get my diploma

4. Get teaching license, this is also important to be able to get hired

5. Get hired at Pullman High School, this is my dream job
