JDS Trucking is an Illinois based corporation that was established two years ago to

provide a heavy haul services to customers in its targeted market. The business was founded

by four friends who have worked in the trucking market for the last ten years and thus

providing the firm with an opportunity to grow since they have a vast understanding of the

driving and running trucking business.

JDS Trucking is a company that works in Northern, Western areas. The management of the JDS Trucking has over time developed a very crucial pricing method in order to ensure that the business continues to provide its customers a good price and still allow our company to make a profit even with the possibility of drawbacks in the overall economic market. The approach by the business for JDS Trucking will allow the business to grow successfully both in terms of the financial strength and wider market coverage in the rapidly changing in the trucking market. Even though JDS Trucking does not have a major large fleet size we do know how crucial it is to have an accounting on our team. The accounting will be able to explain our company’s history, health and overall performances. Without understanding this information, our business will not know if we are succeeding or failing. This will allow JDS Trucking to make good choices, operate effectively and grow within the future. This strategy will also allow the business to offset risks from each of its business unit so as to ensure that there is a diversified balance in the portfolio of our trucking company. This is important since the business uses the leverage to finance weight and mileage.

JDS Trucking mission is to provide all our customer with dependable transportation service based on fair and competitive pricing programs with an emphasis on customer service for all develop concerned parties. To be receptive to customer’s need and react in a professional and timely manner. JDS Trucking will also recognize customers, carriers and vendors as our only assets for continued success.  

This Company was founded by a group of four proprietors, with whom they have more than 15 years of experience in the trucking industry which has turned out to be very vital for the remarkable growth of the business. Through their know-how and wealth of knowledge, they are able to bring the operations of the business to a profitability within its first years of the operations in the trucking business.

The team of the JDS Trucking is made up of the partner being the owners. James Smith makes all the executive decisions after talking with all the partners. He does generate most of the sales leads. In which he is looking into a sales manager to free him up on that part of his job. Jennifer Crase works as an executive secretary who answers phone inquiries and maintains the customer database. Mike Bauer who is our web designer and he is our IT personal to keep up on all the computer and our website looking good. Each manager has responsibilities that is given to them for the oversight of a particular department or division within the business, because it fits their skill level. Each department connects and work together with other departments so as to bring out the best in them. Apart from the accountant, there tends to be a plenty of interaction and coordination that is required between and among the members of management team. The team work concept within JDS Trucking is well applied in order to manage the different sets or the groups of tasks. For instance, each manager having an oversight role of a department or divisions with similar functions.

The sales manager has the responsibility of selling our service before the rest of the competitors can even begin. The management of the sales team should be able to encourage the service entirely, hence need for the structure to be well formed and prearranged.

Nevertheless, the team concept also includes managers of each department working together with an individual aim of developing and improving the processes within and without the company’s structure as well as the ways of numerous departments communicate and broadcast with each other.

The strengths of the individual teams includes; the employees themselves motivating each other with the motivation coming from a well-focused manager, who rises to understand how the tasks within the department has a contribution to the business goals, such as, attaining the status of the traveling to other states, hauling heavier products, going further with the products, and bring in more clients from other nations and regions.

Many corporate decisions concerning the way each departments operate has failed to understand what each department actually does, this has not been a case at JDS Trucking heavy haul. The Strengths of our management team individuals include years of experience in each of their respective market segment within the heavy haul sector as well as the unwavering obligation to provide a top notch customer service with a touch of cultural diversity. JDS Trucking has also adopted the use of technology. This has been made imaginable and reached through the use of the cloud technology and or the company intranet which has seen a positive response in the effort by the company to be able to meet the needs of both the employees and the managers.

Another strength of the JDS Trucking is the marketing of its services it is offering, our services to the community to help and haul some of the heavy things that need to be move out of the area. Such as when house or old building are being torn down and they need a truck and if someone is on vacation and we have a truck that is free up we will go and help them up and move the remove the product for them. This is a competitive advantage of service and a unique way to get our name out there for our company. Therefore, the structures and installations are of the extreme high quality, customer service and safety are what drives the JDS Trucking.

JDS Trucking also intends to diversify their market by operating among several different investment and operating offices in different states all over the United States, so we can cover more area and expand our trucking company and haul more area then just the northern and western areas.   The Management also plans to enact strict tenant quality and the credit review procedures so as to ensure the Company’s revenues will at no time be interrupted by the tenant default.

Since trucking business has attracted many investors all over the world as a result of its being the most free market oriented business in the country, stiff competition cannot be undermined. Therefore, JDS Trucking has anticipated that there will be a large amount of the competition from both a single owner investment firms to a large multiple own companies that are seeking to gain well from the unusually high trucking company prices throughout the New York metropolitan area.
