Firstly, as stated earlier, you need to be predictable. This is in contradiction to the common belief that you need stirring up in a romantic relationship. Though going to new places or presenting with surprise gifts can work well, you require consistency to get the relationship going on smooth wheels. In a relationship, Trust is built up by being reliable all through the relationship.

Secondly, it is important that your body language matches with your words. You must be able to get your message to the other person in a convincing and reliable way. Don't expect your partner to believe you if keep a frown on your face and yet say you are happy. It's common that most people look at both your expressions and words before counting on you. When the words come matching on your expression, a trust can be developed and this trust is very important to keep your relationship going.

Third, believe that your partner is competent enough. This is a very important aspect in building trust in each other. If you don't have faith in your partner, you don't have the trust required in a relationship. Remember, if lovingly communicated, truth is never destructive.
