Global Warming: Fact or Fiction

1. Introduction

Currently in our country and also across the world there is a huge debate regarding global warming. Many people believe global warming will ultimately damage life as we know it today and that serious actions must be taken immediately in an attempt to mitigate the effects before they become elevated to any further degree. On the other hand just as many people believe that the entire global warming theory is utter nonsense and that any efforts to mitigate the effects are unaffordable and would be wasted. This disagreement comes from a steadily increasing temperature of the Earth. Studies indicate that there is a trend of increasingly higher global temperatures. This seems to be the Trillion dollar question. While there are substantive arguments for and against the issue it ultimately remains unsolved. While it is clear that we are experiencing record heat, droughts, storms and fires this has not been officially linked to climate change itself. (NRDC, 2012) Signs that the Earth is warming are recorded all over the globe. This doesn't mean that temperatures
