Forgotten Island

Night was starting to come. It was getting quite dark and very cold. I had no food, no light, no phone... Nothing. I knew I was going to die. You're probably wondering, What the heck is going on? Who is this guy? Where is he? How did he get here? Well, let me explain from the beginning.

My name is Bill Aleman. I live California and work as a cruise ship maintenance man. It's an ok job I get free food and get to ride a cruise ship but I don't really do much. I work and sleep. Most of my time is spent on the boat. I don't really have much family but when I'm not on the boat I'm usually hiking or hunting. I love being outdoors. I couldn't do any of that today because I had to work. But today was different.

I woke up this morning thinking it would be a normal day but it was very odd. The birds weren't chirping, the neighbor's dog "Spike" I always hear wasn't barking. It was all very weird. I got up, made breakfast, and got ready for work like any other day. When I got done it was only 11 and I didn't have to be at work until 12. I left and on my way I went to the gas station to get some gas and drink. When I went it to pay I saw something that caught my eye it was a waterproof flash light. It looked cool so I bought it.

I finally got to work and just in time too. It wasn't too busy today. Everything seemed to be going by slow. Probably because it was a Monday. There weren't too many passengers on today but still a few. I started to fix a broken window on the sky deck. When I saw a bunch of people looking over the edge. I didn't bother to look nor did I really care. I continued to fix the window when suddenly it felt as if the boat was hit with a hammer as it almost knocked me off my feet.

I ran to the captain as fast as I could dodging everything in my path. As soon as I got to him I asked, "What is going on? What did we hit?"

"No, what hit us?" Said the captain.

I looked out the window when suddenly I saw a large black scaly tail slammed the back of the boat. It was huge the tail its self was bigger than half the ship! In flash everything changed. It all turned it to panic. I saw people fighting for their lives on the other end of the boat. Others screaming in horror for the sake of their loved one's lives. In an instant I realized I have to do something. I saw everyone running around in pure chaos.

I tried to remain as calm as possible. I could feel my heart racing; it felt like it was going to beat out of my chest. I ran toward the top of the boat and grabbed a life jacket. The boat was almost fully underwater now. I was at the very top, with the little time I had left I looked for anything. I saw what looked like land to the north. Before I could blink I was submerged underwater. Having no time to react I felt the water go down my throat.

When I woke up I was floating in the middle of the ocean. I could see land to the left of me I wasn't sure if it was real or not. I had no choice I had to use the rest of my strength to get there. Sore, tired, and confused I swam and swam. I could feel the cuts on my body burn as they washed against the salty water in each wave. As I came closer to the island I saw people. I yelled at the top of my lungs for help. It was like they couldn't hear me. But the closer I got the people started to fade away. It was only a mirage.

I got to the island. There was nothing here at all. I felt as if someone or
