Well, according to lots of women, this is the natural state of the male of the human species. They say we are all liars and not to be trusted.

I just read an article written by a woman about what such dreadful liars men are and how we treat all women as if they are fools.

Maybe it wouldn't have stricken such a nerve with me if I hadn't been accused of lying and wrong doing by a woman just the day before I chanced upon the article.

The author of the article related that she had caught her husband in a trivial, pointless lie and was in possession of indisputable evidence of his untruth, but the guy stubbornly insisted that he was innocent in spite of the proof.

On she went to say that getting the truth from a man is akin to pulling teeth from a chicken and to hint that we men may be retarded and that we still think with a child's mentality or that we may even enjoy getting caught in a lie. I cannot imagine what sort of enjoyment any man could possibly derive from telling such an obvious untruth for the purpose of getting caught unless he likes to start a feud with her just so they can do the kiss and make up thing afterwards. That seems like a dangerous way to go about getting a little loving to me, especially if the fella wants to remain in a relationship with her for very long.

After the article of course, there are the reader's comments. Almost all the comments were left by women, some of whom gleefully agreed that all men are terrible liars. One of these comenters went so far as to say that we men are all pigs, then she apologised to the pigs! Another one even said her own grown son insists that a lie he told as a teenager is the truth.

This kind of treatment of men by women who profess to love them is, to me, a strange phenomenon. It makes me wonder why they have anything at all to do with us men if they feel that we one and all are such terrible creatures.

Although I have to agree that some men will tell lies, I cannot believe that all women are blameless to the point that none of them would ever tell an untruth either. But by the same token I would not say that all women are liars just because I know of some who very well fill the bill.
