I am writing on behalf of the poorer landowners and peasant farmers who rent the land to urge you to oppose the enclosure petition that is currently before Parliament. These farmers are worried about enclosure for the following reasons. First, the costs of enclosing the land are far too high for peasant farmers to afford. Furthermore, the farmers are not given much land. Finally, they need all the money they can get. They just want things to stay the same they don't want enclosure.

The local farmers are worried about the cost of building fences around their new lands. They are worried because they cannot afford these costs. They have to buy tools to fix things that might break in and around their home. The farmers need money to buy food for animals that they might be raising, and do not have enough money to take care of their families and to buy medicine if they get sick. They will not be able to pay for things if they have to fence their land. I realize that they will own land but the costs are to high for them.

As for the land that will be given to the farmers, they don't get enough of it to raise their animals and they have to grow food for their families, they will also not have any left over so they cannot sell it and make money to buy things that they cannot produce themselves.

If enclosure goes through the common farmers will lose their gleaning rights. Due to these loses, the farmers will have to buy bread and wood and, because of that, these farmers will suffer from these added costs. It will have an effect on their expenses and the other things they have to buy.

So please think of the poor farmers and how much land they will be getting also think of their families. Thank you for your time, I look forward to your vote.
