For our exploratory research we are planning to conduct one focus group discussion. In this focus group discussion we will know about our participants' views of the on-campus promotion and advertising. Our plan for the focus group is as follows.

Moderator: The moderator is a person who initiates the focus group discussion by introducing himself or herself. The main job of moderator is to make people comfortable, breaks ice and motivate people to present their honest view about some situation. The moderator should have some qualities like careful listening and controlling the group discussion when it is deviating from original purpose.

Participants: Our focus group participants will be the students from the faculties of

- Science and technology

- language, learning and performing arts

- humanities and social sciences

- Developmental studies

We will invite our participants firstly by personally meeting them and then calling them as a reminder of our meeting. For our focus group we planned to have 6 to 8 participants but the problem is that not all the people invited make it at the time of discussion. So we have decided to invite at least 24 people for our focus group discussion. The participants will be motivated to respond freely without any hesitation so that their true views and feelings should come out.
