Outline

Thesis: People should not be allowed to wear animal skin to increase the demand and supply.

I. Around the world there are laws that protect animals. These laws are being broken. Many animals are at risk of extinction because companies that sell animal skin are killing to get more skins. Companies produce more skins if they sell well. In some cases they might even lie about their product. These animal products are very expensive too.

II. There are animal that are at risk of extinction. Some are already extinct.

a. The passenger pigeon is one example of this

i. Humans killed many birds that were used to make hats and even gloves.

ii. The last one was died in the early 1900s

b. Ivory from elephants was so valuable that some countries used it as money.

i. Over1,000 tons of raw ivory is traded each year

ii. More then 70,000 elephants were killed to reach 1,000 tons of ivory.

III. Companies also lie about their product.

a. Furs were imported to Japan from Switzerland and the Japanese were told that it was imported from Italy.

b. Switzerland said a lie to the Japanese. This made them buy more because they thought it was from Italy.

IV. Animal products are way too expensive.

a. You can buy fake fur instead of real fur.

i. Fake fur is way cheaper than real fur. Real can cost 500.00 and a fake 100.00

ii. Kanecaron is a Japanese invention, which is design to be almost identical to real fur.

b. A real fur coat could be really heavy, but the Kanecaron is lightweight.

V. People should not be allowed to wear animal that would increase the demand and supply of animal products. Animals are at risk of extinction which means that
