People have always turned to religion to explain the unexplainable and over the years many different religions have formed. In the ancient world, people needed the knowledge that there was a higher power that ruled over they're every day lives. Each and religion was as different as the people who followed it. All religions try and make sense of the things that happen and while Judaism, Christianity, and Hinduism have similarities and differences they all brought people together.

Judaism was one of the first monotheistic religions of the world monotheism means that the followers of the religion believe in only one god. It was established in the Middle East when the one true god Yawen, chose Abraham to leave his home and take his people to the lands that god has promised to him. The torah, their holy book, describes it as "go for your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you." Yahweh promised to protect and love Abraham and is people as long as they promised to love each other and honor god. This promise was called a covenant. During a drought the people traveled to the Egypt, where they were forced into slavery. Yahweh spoke to the man named Moses and told him to lead his people out, of Egypt. Wants they had left Egypt, Moses spoke with god again who gave him the Ten Commandments. These were rules god wanted his people to follow. The followers of Judaism are considered "ethical monotheistic" they believe that they should follow the Ten Commandments, love in each other and honor your god to live a good life.

Like Judaism, Christianity is also monotheistic. It was also started in the Middle East and gained popularity and with the birth of a man named Jesus. It had been fore told that" the messiah" would come and restore the Kingdome of the Jews. And Jesus' teachings were very similar to Judaism all on the basis that he talked the importance of love. he also taught that each and every person had a personal relationship with god, and if followers truly repented their sins god would save them a place in heaven after death. Jesus had twelve disciples and that traveled with him learning his teachings. His disciples wrote down his teachings, which were called gospels, and gathered them in the first four books of the New Testament. The Bible, they're holy book is made up of the Jewish holy book as well as the more modern new testament. Christianity appealed to all, especially the polar peak 'cause of Jesus simple message. In the gospel of Luke Jesus said "blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." after Jesus death people were even more convinced that Jesus was the messiah and Paul, one of Jesus' apostles and began forming what would
