Apple Computers recently developed a new operating system, which is called

Mac OS-X or also called Leopard. This operating system is a fun and modern piece of

software that is easy to use and reasonable priced. Macintosh always had a reputation of

cheaply made and terrible computers, but since Apple came out with the iMac and its

new operating system Leopard, this has changed its reputation dramatically, not to

mention that Windows Vista flop helped out a little bit as well and apples advertising is

just like their new computers and operating system, modern and fun.

The objective apple is trying to reach is to persuade the consumer that is still using a

Personal Computer (windows) to switch over to a Macintosh Computer. The personal

computer is still a huge machine with a bunch of wires that just takes up a lot of space,

not to mention windows latest invention of the operating system Vista, which has already

convinced some of the users to convert to Macintosh. When Windows developed Vista

people were very excited, but when the operating system hit the market, the consumer

quickly had to realize that vista has no or little compatibility with their existing software

or hardware. Apple is also trying to attract the more older generations with their product,

which is a task, since everything is very high-tech and super modern design which it is

harder to attract the older generations. Another problem is that Macintosh Computers are

not very reasonable in price, which is understandable with the top of the notch

technology apple is putting into their computers. The most people are used to Windows

Computers, since Windows has been the leader in the Computer sector for many years.

Mac and its new Operating System has the benefits that people to do feel like they are at

work when they are on the computer since the most offices use PC's. Sitting down in

front of a sleek super thin monitor that also is the computer itself, since there us no bulky

tower. When switched on, the computer boots up within seconds and the software usually

never freezes, like on the most PS's. Macintosh OS-X has fun applications like Garage
