Approximately 5% of the total population drink heavily, while 17% are binge drinking. Nearly 4% of deaths throughout the world are related to alcohol. Thesis Alcoholism is a chronic condition and should be taken more seriously so today, Preview i will be teaching you about what it is, causes, signs and symptoms, and the risk factors of alcoholism.

Causes Alcoholism is caused by drinking heavily over time because its can change the balance of chemicals and nerve tracks in your brain. Nerve tracks are associated with experience pleasure, judgment and the ability to take control over your own behavior. Alcoholism is also influenced by genetic, social, and environmental factors which impacts on how it affects your body and behavior. The main cause of it is the result in the craving for alcohol to restore any good feelings or to remove and negative ones.

Signs Alcohol abuse is a pattern of drinking. Both alcoholism and alcohol abuse are results in harm to ones health, interpersonal relationships, or the ability to work including repeatedly neglecting responsibilities, alcohol use in dangerous situations, legal problems, and drinking to de-stress.

Risk Factors There can be many different risk factors of alcoholism, some of the most common ones are steadily drinking over time, family history and social and cultural factors. Age also impacts it a lot because people who began drinking at an earlier age have a higher risk of problem drinking, or physical dependence on alcohol.

Symptoms Do you know how much harm excessive amounts of alcohol can do to your brain and body? Difficulty walking, blurred vision, slurred speech, slowed reaction times, and impaired memory. These are all attributes to brain damage from alcohol; But that’s not all it does to your well-being. It also may cause different types of cancers, problems with the heart, liver, and the pancreas. It also weakens the immune system, making your body a much easier target for disease.

Conclusion To sum up, Alcohol can do much harm to your body. Drinking an alcoholic beverage everyday isn't bad but when it gets up to more than 4 or 5 drinks everyday, you might
