You Wanna Know?

There's one lyrics in one of me and my mother's favorite song, that represents a lot about a kids life these days, including mine. The lyrics "I wish the real world, would just stop hassling me", in the song Real World by Matchbox Twenty brings a lot of truth into a kids life these days, because no matter how you word it, we're all still kids. The word "teenager" comes into play with your age, but you're always still a kid until you hit 18 in my book.

Everyone my age is only worried about their school work, certain people that may perk your interest, and basically appearance and representative of personal characteristic. We all want everything to be as simple as doing chores, homework, hanging with friends, fighting with parents, then ending the day, to do it all over the next. But some of us aren't that lucky...

Some kids have to come home and help take care of the family, and work part time to support it. Some just have parents that show enough love, or just in the matter of not caring, leaving their kids to head out with nothing of a structured home-set. Then when they get old enough to actually go out into the real world, their not prepared, and end up going back home to live with parents, or worse out on the street.

This quote is related to my life because I have to deal with these certain situations a lot, and not even at home. A lot of my friends, I'm closely involved with. I seem to have a knack for putting myself in the middle of situations. It may not be a good thing at times, but I like to believe, that it's because of me, they're not ending up in the situation's that I've mentioned. The real world is here, whether any of us like it or not.
