Wonder is to think about and ask questions. It has many advantages but brings many disadvantages too.

People often wonder when they do not understand something or when they have an interest in finding out more on a certain topic. Their curiousity makes them ask questions to improve their understanding. Sometimes people also wonder about about the outcome of something. This causes them to ponder and sometimes worry about certain issues in their life.

When people wonder about things, they think and ask questions at the same time. This involves a lot of thinking and thus will ensure that their brains are active. Wondering invloves a lot of critical thinking skills which is especially good for students because many schools do not really encourage critical thinking. More often than not, students cramp and memorise informwtion more than learning to think and apply what they learnt.

Wondering also implies that people are more concerned and aware of what's happening around them and around the world. It is only when you are interested or care about something that you'll wonder about it.

Besides, people ask questions when they wonder and this allows room for improvement. When people deliberate, they think about the process they went through and the challenges they have encountered. Hence, wondering can be a form of reflection of their whole learning process and how they have grown to be a better person through the experience. By evaluating and identifying their strengths and weaknesses in the experience, they also identify the areas for improvement.

A certain degree of wondering is good. However, an excessive degree of wondering has its harmful effects too. When people face challenges or obstacles in life, it is normal to wonder about the outcome and how everything is going to be like in the end. This may cause people to worry about how things will turn out and contribute to unnecessary stress. With worries and stress, life becomes more streesful and is not as enjoyable as before. People may be so worried about the outcome and concequences that they refuse to move ahead, making them procrastinate. This inertia and stress is counter productive.

An excessive degree of wondering can cause unnecessary worries which will be a burden on top of the daily workload. This may cause people to feel unwell and overwhelmed mentally and if serious, they might even
