What If I Were African American

WHAT IF I WERE AFRICAN AMERICAN

I thought that it might be best if I went with African American. My Life as it is white male is some what good but has its disadvantages too. But I think my life would be basically the same, although I would have continued to play football all through school and well it is easier to get grants, loans, and scholarships if you are a minority. Another reason I chose to go with African American is because grew up with this ethnic group as friends.

I think it would be difficult to be able to date the girls I like to date now because they are really not attracted to African Americans, so they say. I could imagine it would be nice seems though some only prefer this ethnicity. There were certain girls that did not like me because they would not date a white man.

So my new life is great I was able to make it into the NFL with a couple of my friends and life is good. Have tons of hot girls just wanting to be with me (which is always a plus to be wanted). I have a nice house and a beautiful wife. Although I am a family man I tend to run around when I have away games (isn't that right Coby Briant). I have my own plane and some of the nicest cars around. On the off season I take trips all around the world. I was able to do this on a full scholarship and some grants that are only for us African Americans. I have some struggles with some people that still think I should be a slave but F@#$ them who cares most are not like that anymore. So then this is my life as an African American.

What does this tell me about race in America? Well I am not so sure it is all that bad here in the United States. I do feel that racism is still here in a small portion. You still have the hatters out there that will always feel that African American are lower that the whites but for me I see them as the same.

In conclusion I know that it is not easy to be able to put yourself into others shoes but when you know a lot of different races and you grow up with them they seem to have no difference. When it comes to rights as a human being of just living a life to the best of your ability who cares if your are White, African American, Mexican. It is my belief that everyone has a place in this life. So can we all just get along!
