Socrates

Socrates was probably the greatest philosopher of all time and yet he never wrote a single line. He had a great influence on many other philosophers, if Socrates didn't existed, we would never have heard about Plato, Aristotle and others famous characters. He was well known for his public conversation skill. Sadly, he offended the wrong people and he had been giving the choice to be executed or exiled. He chose death, which made him who he is till now. Socrates said many things but he once said: "The unexamined life is not worth living." I agree with him and I think that it is not worth living if you do not question your life. I will prove my opinion by stating that if you live an unexamined life, consequently, you will have a no purpose, repetitive life and wasted life.

First of all, to have a purpose to live you should question your life. By asking questioning yourself, you will find your weakness and strengths. Then you can set a goal to improve your weak points. By achieving your goal, you will become a more successful person. Having a goal will keep you busy, thus doing something that is not useless to you. I think that someone without a purpose won`t go anywhere in his life. There is a challenge while you pursuit your goal, therefore make your life more interesting. For example, the goal of Socrates was the pursuit of truth; he rather gave up his life than to abandon his goal. (Truth: The conformity of a proposition to the way things are.
