I feel that a serious problem that is facing the United States today is under aged drinking. Under aged drinking is going to be a problem forever. There is no way that this country can stop under aged drinking. When kids grow up they see everyone drinking whether it is at a family function, a school party wedding, etc. Young adult's even kids are put in situations whether they like it or not, just because of the adult supervision.

As a son of a New Jersey State Trooper I have been raised under a strict household listening to everything my dad and mom say. When I was younger living in my house was almost like a small taste of boot camp. Listening to whatever my dad said just because of the respect issue that I have for him. I have two younger brothers ages eighteen and fourteen, they have also been taught right from wrong and not to follow peer pressure. We have been taught from a young age not to be underage drinking but I will admit it that my brother and I have done it and still do it.

I don't think that it is a bad thing but a law is a law. You can get in serious trouble from doing this but kids in this country still do it. Why, we ask, we have no idea it is the environment of which you live in. If you live in a neighbor hood where smoking weed is popular the percentage of you trying it one day is very high as goes for the same as drinking. Living at school everyone drinks so the likely hood of you trying it is very high.

The point that I am trying to make is that there is no way of preventing underage drinking; even if you banned alcohol from the U.S. people are still going to find a way of getting it. I feel that lowering the age of drinking will cause fewer problems but may because more I don't know. The fact of the matter is, is that it is going to continue forever so lowering the drinking age maybe a better solution.
