Ð'* (Maintaining a global viewpoint) Honda is thriving to be the number 1 motor manufacturer in the world by having plants and showrooms supplying vehicles, motorcycles, lawnmowers and other types of machinery to the international market. Ð'* (Respect sound theory, develop fresh ideas, and use time effectively) Honda rely on their research and development department for new and innovated input within the motor industry. Honda claim to use every inch of their manufacturing plants to produce goods. Whether it cars, motorcycles or machinery to use time effectively.

Ð'* (Enjoy work and encourage open communication) Honda is working closely with groups in every country and the company is investing in communities, Honda is now proving that they have an international direction. Honda are now identifying themselves with the slogan "Together for Tomorrow" this is to show the communities an insight of their activities and how the company plan to strenthen their commitment within local communities where they plan to do business. Honda have been setting up workshops aimed at students aged between 11 and 14 to inspire and excite with the view to educate the pupils the importance of manufacturing and for the students to take on challenges. These workshops were setup within the local communities surrounding the Honda factories.

Ð'* (Strive constantly for a harmonious workflow) Honda is making every effort to make their production lines run more efficiently. Honda are always finding ways to reduce the time and resources necessary to get new models into production and improving the efficiency of manufacturing operations that meet regional needs. By streamlining the production processes into consistent units has improved the working environment by, raising product quality and speed up production lines. Honda is planning to limit the production of their engines and components but still raise awareness to quality, efficiency and responsiveness to global change that effects the motor industry.

Ð'* (Be ever mindful of the value of research and effort) Honda operates a system called the "Life Cycle Assessment" (LCA), which they developed as a means to assess the environmental loads in all the sectors in which the company operates. LCA enables the development of effective environmental measures. Energy savings and cost reductions are made possible through LCA, which stresses the importance of actions taken at early stages of production. Honda is taking a resourceful approach to purchasing, logistics and sales.

Their key role is to maximise profit and to go from strength to strength as a manufacturing company. Honda's directors aim to use their skills in every area including manufacturing, research and development and sales, by structuring their combined vision and skill to improve the quality of work through a superior joint effort.

Employees

The Honda Philosophy is based on two fundamental beliefs

Respect for the Individual.

The Three Joys (the Joy of Buying, the Joy of Selling, and the Joy of Producing.
