The American Dream

Yes with work and the right circumstances. It you don’t work at anything it won't get done. You can't just expect to get anything without doing any work. I mean sure you might get some money from your rich uncle when he dies but that’s not achieving the dream. It's being handed the results of someone else achieving it and then just giving it to you. The American Dream is to live free work hard and be successful. Being successful is whatever you think it is. For some people it may be money others providing for their family and a little more than enough. The point nobody can tell what being successful is, it's whatever you make it to be.

The American Dream is alive, just not well. If work and do your best you may never be promoted or get a raise. And if you want to earn lots of money you have to go to college. Almost all the jobs require to have some sort of post-secondary schooling. The jobs that don’t require you to gone to college are few and most likely filled up. When find one it most likely won't pay very well and you won't have enough money to live off of.

Many people say that the American Dream is dead. They are right so are the people who said that the American Dream is alive. The original American Dream of coming to America and having a better life and making lots of money by working is dead. Today you can come to America (not guaranteed if Donald Trump becomes president) and still have a better life. This is much easier to do if is is much easier to do if is is much easier to do if is is much easier to do if immigrate to America and have gone to school or plan to go to school.

Then we have the group of people who say the American Dream is alive and well. They are the people who started at the bottom and work up to the top. These people may immigrated to America from a different country or on the bottom of the economic ladder. There is this story I once heard of a man who started as a night janitor who made it all the way to becoming the CEO of the company of years of hard work.

So well the American Dream has changed and is now harder to achieve than it was you still can get it. There are still many people who believe you can achieve
