We humans only see what's around us. There is a fantastic world out there that is invisible to the human eye. Had it not been for the astronomers before us, we would have never known the things we know now about the Universe and its attributes. This astronomical Universe consists of moving bodies, galaxies, planets, moons and much more, that makes you think "how was Universe built"? How does it affect us? What evidence do we have to prove that theories from the past were correct? All of these questions would have not been answered if it wasn't for the telescope. Even today the telescope advance dramatically and is being used for health and other scientific purposes.

The telescope is a device that permits distant and faint objects to be viewed as if they were much brighter and closer to the observer. The first person to use the telescope to observe the sky was Galileo. He created his own telescope by increasing the original 3 times magnification telescope to his own 33 times magnification telescope. With this, Galileo was able to make stunning discoveries. Before the modification of the telescope, Galileo could only see no more than a quarter of the moon's face. Kepler himself also discovered Laws of Planetary Motion.

Other scientist made astonishing discoveries with different telescopes. William Herschel credited a mirror telescope and discovered the planet Uranus. Newton invented the reflecting telescope and later discovered that white lights were made up of colors. The radio telescope was created by Reber, who made the first map of comic radio emission. Asap Hall used a reflector telescope to discover the moons of mars. In the early years they used the telescope in many different ways which made discovers that benefited science itself.

In the early years, scientist viewed celestial objects through a telescope eyepiece. When photography was created, they decided to attach a camera to a telescope to make a photograph of the moon. There are many telescopes that are used in science. There is Radio telescopes which are used to detect radio waves; infrared telescopes which are used to detect and study infrared radiation emanating from objects in the outer space; ultraviolet telescopes which are used to detect and study of ultraviolent radiation emanating from celestial object. There are also X-ray telescopes, gamma-ray telescopes. They have all advanced and are still currently being used.
