Teenagers and Culture

In today's culture teenagers undergo a lot of unnecessary stress. Young adolescence lives are a lot more complicated than they use to be. Everything that happened use to be so understandable and it always had a reason but in today's ever changing culture it nothing like that now. I am a young adolescence trying to make it in this world and it is very hard and I hear it will only get harder.

In previous years like about twenty years ago things were much more laid back and relaxed. My mom was only nineteen and she said that her adolescence years were very memorable and fun. In today's culture teens are stressed every day and are always worrying about everything. Twenty years ago not everybody suffered from cancer and not everyone had a STD but now today's the population who suffer from either one of those if probably around half. The drug rate is much higher and so is the pregnancy and death rate. I feel like teens just have it so bad these days.

It is as if years keep passing and with every one that does the society and culture gets worse. Teenagers in the eighties did not have everything we have now, but they sure did have the life. Pressures that teenagers undergo range from many different things.

In the eighties majority of teens did not attend tech let alone college at all. Parents then either did not enough money to support them to go to school or they took on family businesses and made there living that way. Regardless of why they did not attend college once again times have changed and it is a must that teens attend now. In was not important or a must to get a job then, yet in this culture we know now you can not get a decent job anywhere with out a degree. Employers do not want dead beat losers working for them they would much rather have an intelligent bright individual who is motivated to make big changes.
