Teddy Roosevelt

"To waste, to destroy, our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining in the days of our children the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed."

I feel that America has done what they could to for the environment. I think that America has improved dramatically since Roosevelt spoke. America has improved, but they are not perfect.

America has improved its environment problem since Roosevelt spoke, but they still have room to improve. America is not wasting as much resources, and they are not taking advantage of the resources. United States now have many programs to help the environment, and many groups who stand up for the environment. Technology is getting more advanced, there are more and more electric cars that are around.

The government is doing the best job possible, to preserve the environment. Many parks have been opened since Roosevelt spoke. Parks are being upgraded and there are also new parks being opened. There are also more rules and fines for littering or any thing in that nature. The government has done what they could to preserve the environment, in my opinion.

When I said that America still has room to improve, I meant that the public has to do something about it. The public still has to stop littering and try to recycle more. The public still has more work to do.

This was my opinion on Roosevelt's speech. I thought that the government is doing all they could. I feel that the public could still improve.
