I really never knew what I wanted to be when I grow up. Now I

think I found the answer. I would like to be a teacher. I heard

teaching can be very stressful and annoying but it can also be very

rewarding. I want to help kids get an education so they can be

successful in life.

Teachers must be fair to his or her students. Teaching also

requires a lot of patients .Good teachers want to make a

difference. When teaching, most teachers use discussion

and hands on learning to help students with there subjects . Class

are becoming structured with the students helping each other in

groups to solve problems. Teachers (especially elementary

teachers) play a important role of development of children and

their success or failure in school and life(Occupational Outlook

Handbook 296).

The size of the class depend on the size of the school and the

type of class . Teachers can be stressed out if the classes

are to big(occupational Outlook Hand book. Classes are most

successful when classes are 15-20 kids because kids are less

distracted from other kids and there is a lower noise level because

of less kids and their grades go up(www.aft.org). Most teachers

usually work more than 40 hours a week including, school duties

and extra help. Most teachers work for 10 months and take a

vacation during the summer(occupational outlook handbook 297).

There were about 3.8 million jobs for teaching in the year

2000.Out of those jobs about 1.5 million were for elementary

school, 1.1 million for high school, 590,000 from middle school

and 423,000 from preschool(occupational outlook handbook

297).'' Employment of teachers is different from geographically

and population(Occupational outlook handbook297)''

There is a lot of training and requirements for teaching. In all 50

states require public teachers to be licensed but it if you're a

private school teacher it is not a requirement. Licensed are granted
