Commercials: Dorito’s Ultrasound, Super Bowl Babies Choir (NFL), Mountain Dew Kickstart PuppyMonkeyBaby

Watch this year’s Super Bowl Commercials.

Evaluate them by looking at the Four P’s (Product, Price, Promotion, Place) - the Marketing Mix.

Doritos: Product was shown as being delicious and everyone wants to eat it. Price wasn’t represented. Promotion was shown because it could grab viewer’s attention with humor. The place of the product was also thought out to grab a viewer’s attention.

NFL commercial: Product wasn’t really shown. It was confusing as well. Price was not represented. The promotion of this commercial wasn’t the best because it was hard to understand but could grab someone’s attention who is interested in singing. Place was interesting with where each person was represented.

Mountain Dew: Product was shown in the people who were delighted to drink the drink. Price was shown with how the actors were living (cheap). Promotion was interesting by making the commercial weirdly funny which catches viewers attention. The placement isn’t very clear.

In addition, look at the terms below. Evaluate each product/commercial for the following:

Product Tangibility- Doritos: Great product, delicious based off of commercial. NFL: Commercial did not do a good job of showing the product. Mountain Dew: Shows it is a great combination

How to Increase Use by Existing Customers: Doritos: Is good for all ages. NFL: Everyone around the America can enjoy football at anytime in their life. Mountain Dew: It is something that makes things better and more fun

How to Find New Users: Doritos: All ages love it. NFL: reaches too all ages. Mountain Dew: Gets people energized and ready to have a good time

Should they Modifiy the Product or the Promotion or the Place or the Price? Doritos: No change NFL: Need to promote more of what the product can do for people. Mountain Dew: No change

Was Pricing Strategy Important? I think for all of the products all needed the pricing to be well put or no one would oay attention to the product.
