Stick to Your Way

It is common for people to think, “I can do the thing because all other people are doing that.” People seem to be ordinary to protect themselves. However, not everything that most people do is correct or suitable for you. It must be noted that we need to judge whether to do or not.

Consequently, moving in the opposite direction of most people is one of your choice after making judgment. It also shows an active attitude to choosing your own way of life.

Nowadays, the majority of students believe that certificate will provide them with more opportunities to show their skills in different aspects, which may put them in a favorable position in the future job markets.

Therefore, it has become quite a common phenomenon that college students are enthusiastic over getting all kinds of certificates, such as accountant certificate, teacher certificate and so on. A number of students even skip school classes to take various extra-curricular classes to try their best to get all kinds of certificates, even though some have no any relationship with their majors or interests.

From my point of view, it is not wise for everyone to follow others’ steps to get all kinds of certificates. I consider that we should make our choices considering our own conditions. Crazy in getting certificates blindly will be nothing but wasting time. Focusing on improving ability but not on how many certificates we get, we sail against the current.

Once we graduate, I think the situation may be more complex. Perhaps, moving in the opposite direction will not be accepted by your workmates, or even the company you work for. You might be confused whether you should stick to your way. Remain loyal to your beliefs and you will make the right decision.

Moving in the opposite direction or not, you just need to stick to your way.
