Born in Kingston, Jamaica. Moved to Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 9. Started singing on Ohristafari HiFi in San Diego, Ca. 1978-1978.

His mentor and teacher was JAH Tommy (Emperor Faith), with whom Sojie started Reggae Music Sound System in Cincinnati. He Then moved to Toronto, Canada, where he began the # 1 Sound King Israel Vibration, Night Rider, and Armageddon. Sojie, became Toronto's' # 1 Selector and singer on these sounds, and Empire band.

Proving to be the top Dancehall singer in Canada, Sojie has shared the stage with such legends as TLC, WAR, Steelpulse, The Wailers, Don Carlos, Johnny Osbourne, Bloodfire, Supercat, U-roy, Charlie Chaplin, BrigedierJerry, Sister Nancy, Sister Carol, Culture, Barrington Levy, Eeka Mouse, Dennis Brown, Errol Dunkley, The Neville Brothers, and too many more to name.

Sojie has Headlined Venues, and shows such as; Bogarts (Ohio), Wild Hare (Chicago) Shankland, World Music Festival, Homegrown Festival, Reggae on the hills, Qualcom Stadium ( San Diego), Varsity Arena (Toronto), The San Diego Sports Arena, House of Blues, and many more venues across America, Europe, and Jamaica.

Sojie is a hardcore Roots, and Dancehall singer who puts on an Incredible Energetic show, that has fans raving. An Artist whose original style brings to mind Bob Marley in message, and lyrics, and Dennis Brown in Style and Voice. Which has kept him as one of the top Performers in Reggae music, and Canada's #1 Reggae singer.

Sojie had a #1 hit "Nuh Dis Woman" That stayed on air waves for years. This performer proves he is one of Reggaes rising stars. Songs such as, "City Lights", "Big Bout Ya", and "Put on my Wings", Gives fans something to identify with. Sojie has proven that on the Reggae busÐ'...HE is the Driver.
