Rape

Rape is the shallowest and most disgusting thing that anyone could ever do to someone. Anyone who would have the gall to do that doesn't deserve to live. I have no respect for anyone who has done that. I also believe that the penalty for rape should be stricter. It is pathetic what rapists get now; they get like two to three years. It really angers me when I think about it.

One of my best girl friends was a victim or rape. This was really hard for me to grasp, she was like family to me and I couldn't imagine how she could have felt. To make it even worse, at first her parents didn't believe her and that just made things harder on her. She ended up finally getting them to believe her but in the process, had to go

to numerous therapists. I got really pissed at her because she wouldn't call the cops even though she thought she knew who did it. She didn't want to call the cops because when it happened she was drunk and she was also underage so she thought she was going to get in trouble. I was so pissed I wanted to beat the living crap out of the kid, but she wouldn't tell me who it was because she knew I would go after them.

She was really lucky that she didn't get pregnant, because if she did that would have basically ruined her life. Her parents had gotten divorced about a year before it happened and she lived with her mom, and she wouldn't have been able to support an extra child so she was just extremely lucky. I just felt really bad for her and I tried to be there for her whenever she needed it.

My friend was unfortunately a victim of rape and maybe that makes me biased but I think that the penalty for rape should be a lot stricter. I also think that it is sad and pathetic for anyone to stoop as low as to rape someone. In my opinion, anyone who has done this deserves to be castrated. This kind of thing ruins peoples lives and people just go around and do it like its nothing, and that gets to me. If someone is that sick and demented, then they should seek medical help and leave innocent people alone. Rape has changed a life of someone close to me and I would never wish it upon anyone.
