The Harry Potter book collection took off like a bullet, its literary production and

marketing was done by Bloomsbury of the United Kingdom and Scholastic Press in the United

States. The publishers influence on the public can be seen in the demonstration of the books

mode of layout and illustration. The design of the books is evident in the marketing and branding

of the literary world (Bailey, 2006).

Harry Potter books have an ethical standpoint designed to appeal to modern readers,

focusing on the characterization of Harry Potter as a hero figure in the classical and medieval

text the author portrays Harry Potter as a hero in chivalric mode. Each book details how Harry

Potter learns the values of loyalty, mercy, fairness, and selflessness. The book series contributes

to modern fantasy and a secondary world allowing the reader to perceive magic as a

metaphorical representation of power. Rowling's book series is placed in children's literature

resulting from her thoughts that the material was best suited for children age eight and over

(Bailey, 2006).

The Harry Potter collection has a set of seven novels, the chronicles revel a young wizard and his friends attending a special school of witchcraft and wizardry.

The author of the Harry Potter series has shared her gift of writing with the world of book

lovers and readers. J.K. Rowling's applied an unusual mix of genres, which are evident in her

work with Rowling's generic combination results in workable, new and, exciting mode of

writing appears. Rowling's Harry Potter series is comparable to other writers and his or her

literature being produced (Bailey, 2006).

In Rowling's Harry Potter book series many genres are found, including

mystery, adventure, thriller, romance, and fantasy. Harry Potter has a theme park in

Disney's Universal Parks and Resorts Islands of Adventure (Bailey, 2006).

The cultural impact of the Harry Potter series affected individuals across the

globe; the series was intended for younger readers but gained popularity with adult fans. The

word Muggle became so popular within the Harry Potter cultural it gained fame and became one

of the few pop cultural words to be entered into the Oxford English Dictionary (Bailey, 2006).

Economic success for Rowling's from her Harry Potter book series has made her the first Billionaire author. The Harry Potter series has been printed in multiple languages and in countries all over the world. From Rowling's book series has come over 400 Harry Potter products with an estimated worth of 15 billion dollars. J.K. Rowling's has received several awards for her famous Harry Potter book series, including four Whitaker Platinum Book Awards

(Bailey, 2006).

Rowling's Harry Potter series can be read in classrooms all over the world teaching

children about values and assisting students to develop his or her higher order thinking skills.

Harry Potter books show how the characters develop value systems and use those systems to

guide their lives in making good choices (Bailey, 2006).

Some Christian groups have concerns of the Harry Potter books fantasy and

sorcery
