Western Rome fell on August 24, 410 A.D. When the Visigothic Warrior, Alaric surrounded Rome and starved the citizens. Whatever population that was left was decreased significantly by diseases. Western Europe was impacted greatly by the fall of Rome. Western Europe was nothing without Rome, it deteriorated quickly and became a region of war and anarchy. Western Europe entered a period of Dark Ages which is a period of time when innovation and technology stop. In this period of time a series of invasions and changes of leadership occurred. Finally Feudalism has a model of the hierarchy that it was based upon. Peasants were on the bottom then on wooden blocks two knights are shown and then there is a Lord on top. These models connect to my thesis because it shows that their wasn't just one big element that filled the power vacuum, but there were several elements that contributed.

The major elements which filled the power vacuum of Rome were Germanic tribes, Christianity, War, Feudalism and
