In this semester, I would like to share my two experiences. Due to English is my second language, it has been some difficult but also have some gone well experiences.

First, in my communication experiences, it usually disappears confusion during the conversation between my classmate and me because we are from different country. We have different accents and it is hard to hear different accent. It causes us need to repeat several times to get the message. English is our second language so it is hard to speak it fluently. Sometimes, I want to say some experiences but due to my limited English so I only can describe it broadly. It is difficult to explain it in English and it will lose interesting.

Second, I always use different pronunciation because my hometown usually mixes the America and British accents, for example "can't" and "last". I learn to change my accent to America accent completely but sometimes I do not aware and I feel strange if I speak wrong accent.

Although there are two bad experiences, there are also good experiences for me. I learn more English vocabulary and I discover that my communication skills become better. Besides, I speak more fluently than before. After I came to Dean College, I had more chance to speak in English than staying my hometown. Also, the locals people are nice and do not laugh at your limited English and this increase my confident so that I can have more chance to speak English.

I would like to suggest workplace communication and cover in the second half of the semester. We need to have a preparation to face our future. We need to lean how to communicate with colleague and customer. It is important to learn the special skills. This is the way that can help us to become a successful person in the future. Also, we need to learn the business communication. No matter you are study business major or not, learning the basic business communication skills benefits you.
