In the book of Genesis, a man by the name Lot makes a decision to not hand over two angles that have visited him. Who are sent by God to see if the city of Sodom and Gomorrah need to be destroyed for their blasphemy actions. Instead of sending the angels to the hands of the Sodomites, he asks if he can send his two daughters instead. Who are which have not been touch by a man. Now what can we say about his morals in that action? Can that really that a man is more fearfully of Gods wrath or his show of devout faith.

Lot’s love for his daughters is grand, but not as grand as his love for God. He showed his faith by offering his two virgin daughters to the Sodomites, who at the time were commuting sodomy, adultery and other things of that nature. A man with that kind of morals is special, a person that is willing to give up anything for his believes, is a man with a solid ground beneath him. This kind of man though sometimes is looked down upon as someone that is totally messed to give up his daughters, his flesh and blood for so called “angels.” I have a hard time stomaching a person having that kind of views in this world.

Does this decision make Lot a person that put seen as a saint or someone that is totally despicable. In Lot’s very unusually case is a person to look at as someone that has fine morals and knows what he stands for. Any other Sodomite would have hand the angles over with out thinking. He knew that these angels where people he need to protect and no matter what that cost may be. A bad person would have sent those angles out to the Sodomites and not have thought twice about he had done. Someone with that kind of mind sent might not have even brought the angles in their house. Giving them food and shelter from the ragged streets and alleyways. The difference between what Lot showed as someone that can be seen as a saint or someone who is a total disgrace is vast.

The fear of God may be what drove Lot to give his daughters up rather give the angles to the Sodomites. Lot was told by the angles why they where there in Sodom and Gomorrah. He knew that if the angles were not treated with the out most gratitude he would end with the same fate as his fellow man. That may be the case or was if him trying to his faith in God. I believe that is was both actually. His faith was strong in God but his fear in God was just as strong. Lot did not want to
