John F. Kennedy was born on the 29th of May in 1917. As a child, JFK excelled academically and eventually graduated from Harvard University in 1940. After joining the Navy, John F. Kennedy's PT boat was rammed and sunken by a Japanese Destroyer in 1943.

After JFK, returned from the war, he quickly became a Democratic Congressmen from the Boston area. In 1953, he became Senate. On the 12th of September in 1953, JFK got married to Jacqueline Bouvier.

In 1955, JFK published his literary masterpiece, Profiles of Courage. This piece of literature won the Pulitzer Prize in history. This was only the beginning of the road of success which lay in front of JFK.

In 1960, JFK won the first-ballot nomination for President from the Democratic Party. His debates with the opposing candidate, Richard M. Nixon, was viewed by millions. JFK's strong character and confidence won him the support of the American public as he became the first Roman Catholic President in the United States of America.

His Inaugural Address offered the memorable injunction: "Ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country." During his presidency, JFK had two sure goals in mind. JFK was a supporter of the Civil Rights Movement. President Kennedy often worked long hours to help give black Americans basic human rights. JFK also wanted to eliminate Communism. These two goals were JFK's priorities.

On the 22nd of November in 1963, JFK was assassinated as he went through Dallas, Texas. There are currently many theories circulating this assassination. Some theories even indicate that the CIA was involved with this tragic event. Nonetheless, JFK was a true American hero who confronted all his barriers with integrity!
