Iran Sucks

"Death to America!" explodes into the microphone, out through the speakers and into the ears of all the men, women, and children at the rally. The cleric preaches his word of hate to his adoring fans. Thousands chant in unison as flags are burned and pictures waved till the hot sun is to much for you so you leave to go get something to drink. Within a few minutes you are at a popular shopping district in the middle of the city where the attire and mood has dramatically changed. Men walk calmly around wearing Yankees caps, Nike Shoes, and drinking at a local "Starcups." The women are not wearing the traditional dress and some flapper types are actually wearing western clothing along with cavorting with men while talking about politics over a cup of coffee; seemingly unaware of the havoc and disgusting display of hatred two blocks down the road.

Now this is a problem. Putting aside the varying amounts of anger you might have toward this scene it means a number of things. It is a good thing because this means that not everyone in this country hates America. Even though their religious leaders and political officials are all there chanting it, this does not support the views of many neighborhoods throughout the capital cities. When people talk about politics they demonstrate that they can identify with both the America and Arab perspective. When they talk about entertainment they talk about American T.V. This means that there is hope for peace and a lasting cooperation with this country, but it also means that this is never going to happen.

There can never be peace with a country that even when a majority of people like the U.S. for whatever reason they still have not done anything to change the fact that the country is run by those who hate us. Even though they are a lot of the time the wealthier of the people in the country they do nothing to fix the fact that all the propaganda they are fed is fiercely anti American and that all the inner workings of their government is being run by these people. How do we continue to allow these people to have the luxuries of American life when they allow these people to run their countries? If they want to go out and preach death and hatred towards the country that makes them happy and fashionable then what will they do when they can't buy their Nikes, McDonalds, or Xbox's anymore? We need to cut these people off till they have the sense to
