Movie Synopsis

The film was about the story of Sam Dawson, a mentally retarded man who impregnated a homeless woman and ended up being the father of an adorable baby girl. The mother then left, giving upon Sam the responsibility of being a single daddy. Even though he had limited mental capacity and a cozy little job working at an LA Starbucks store, Sam did the best things he knew to provide for his sweet little infant daughter he named as Lucy.

Seven years later, Lucy had grown up, surpassing his father's mental and intellectual capabilities. His parenting skills were tested when a crusading social worker, Margaret, got involved regarding the welfare of Lucy. Lucy is taken away from the frustrated Sam.
