EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Purpose of the Report

The purpose of this study is to depict and study outsourcing of human resources, payroll

and information systems and the effectiveness of outsourcing, and convey the feasibility of outsourcing for large companies. The study will include an in-depth description of human resources, payroll and what each branch entails. The report will address team members current quality of information system and how it brings the data to the team members. Surveys will be created and completed by looking at the study of local human resource jobs, collecting data from local outsourcing firms, and compiling information into a summarized report. This study will also establish why firms outsource, and compiling information into a summarized report. This study will also establish why outsourcing is the best route for most companies, and that utilizing outsourcing is one step in an overall plan to maximize resources.

Outsourcing at Heritage Products, Inc.

Most survey respondents from evening and night shifts recognized the importance of outsourcing human resource, payroll and would use the information technology accessible to them, since most have to wait to get with human resource and payroll personnel because they only work day shift. However, day shift team members did not feel the need of outsourcing since their ability to see human resource and payroll during shift hours did not interrupt their everyday life. Security within seems to be a problem with all shifts and some are concerned with security outside handling their personnel information.

The results of this study will show that the need for outsourcing will overcome the insecurities within the fear of team members and can help reduce the down time due to using your in house service.
