Edoras, Helm's Deep, Isengard, and Mordor.

The main character of the novel is clearly the ring-bearer Frodo Baggins as he is the one to take the ring to the fiery mountain of Mount Doom. Frodo is a hobbit, short and boyish in appearance, and what he lacks for in size he makes up for in courage. He is a very likable character in the way that he doesn't boast about being the chosen ring-bearer and merely does what needs to be done. His servant Samwise Gamgee is also quite important to the story. He sticks with Frodo throughout the adventure and always has his back. Sam is very brave, loyal, and loving. He almost reminds me of a dog, only more human...

Throughout the story we see many battles and conflicts between the main characters and different enemies and obstacles. The decision of whether to follow Frodo and Sam or to chase after Merry and Pippin, the mere fact that Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli have to chase after the band of orcs when they are already hours ahead of them, and of course the overall battle between Jonathan Hill

The Two Towers takes place in the fictional world of Middle Earth, the end of the Third Age, in the midst of a long war between the forces of good and evil. The Two Towers takes place in various locations in the imaginary world of Middle-earth, including Rohan, Fangorn Forest, Edoras, Helm's Deep, Isengard, and Mordor.
