1. Numerous business models are utilized by EBay. The brokerage model is the key business model used by EBay. Through the brokerage model, EBay acts as an auction broker where they conduct auctions for sellers and charge the seller a listing fee and commission scaled with the value of the transaction. The advertising model is also used through links to EBay stores, which are outlet versions of popular businesses like the Fujitsu Scanner Outlet or the Motorola Outlet discussed in the EBay case. Next, the merchant model is used through virtual merchant stores which make sales only online. The Motorola Outlet uses the manufacturer model to sell extra products directly to consumers online. Finally, it is difficult to list the large amounts of products that some manufacturers may have, so they must hire a third-party tool to list the items and take care of the many online transactions.

3. One advantage of EBay hosting online stores is the enormous amount of money they can make from manufacturers. Most companies that have online stores have hundreds or thousands of items for sale, and each time they make a sell, EBay earns money through fees. Another advantage of EBay hosting online stores
